The role

Reporting to the Fundraising Director, the Bequests Manager will be a key member of the growing fundraising team

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a bequests strategy and annual business plans to grow revenue
  • Develop a program of engagement activities for current and prospective bequest donors
  • Correspond efficiently with solicitors, executors, accountants, trustees and other relevant parties to ensure appropriate administration of wills and timely estate distribution
  • Provide training and support to state/territory bequest staff
  • Work closely with the marketing and communications team to develop and deliver campaigns and collateral


Skills required

  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple programs
  • An effective communicator with strong presentation skills
  • High level relationship building/management skills
  • An initiator and influencer and competent networker
  • Strong background in strategy development and execution of bequest programs
  • Proven experience in developing and managing stewardship programs
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to analyse data in order to generate and cultivate leads
  • Track record in successfully achieving financial targets and reporting to management
