The Fair Work Commission has recently passed a new Family and Domestic Violence Leave entitlement.
As of 1st of August 2018 the Modern Awards will be updated to reflect the newly passed Family and Domestic Violence Leave for employees.
This new entitlement is provided across the board to full and part-time employees, including casuals.
Five days unpaid leave, which does not accrue throughout the year but is provided on an as needs basis. The leave does not accumulate from year to year. If it’s not utilised in any one year it remains at five days in any given year.
