We are seeking an experienced Business Development professional from the Land Use and Development and/or the Building & Construction sectors with a solid understanding of the Land & Property Development industry. The business was established almost 50 years ago as a surveying firm and has grown over the years into an award-winning specialised surveying and digital representation company, based in NW Sydney.
This newly created role is a key part of the firm’s future plans as the company progresses with the continually evolving demands of the Australian land use & development and/or building & construction sectors. The firm provides the full suite of professional services to developers of land, subdivisions, property, and infrastructure projects including;
- Spatial Information Capture
- Digital Representation of the Built Environment
- Land Development
- Survey & Planning
As Business Development Manager – Town Planning & Land Surveys you will nurture and develop relationships with your existing clients, seeking opportunities to provide services and support to their projects as their preferred partner. In addition, and critical to your success, you will identify, engage, and develop new clients through your professional networking, industry contacts, expos, and events.
Your purpose is to bring in quality business to the company and collaborate with your team to ensure the pipeline of work is consistent, profitable, and suited to the strengths, capability, and capacity of the team.
In this business-to-business focused BDM role, you will seek the opportunity to tender for projects, you will respond to tender requests and prepare submissions, and will be the point of contact for the client during the tender process.
Throughout the process, you will collaborate closely with the internal team to ensure a quality tender response resulting in a high win rate of projects that are of the maximum benefit for all stakeholders (company, team, and client), and support the team on commercials aspects throughout the delivery phase.
- Strong business-to-business sales & marketing and/or account management experience in the Land Use & Development and/or Building & Construction sectors
- Solid understanding and appreciation of the professional planning & surveying industry.
- Tender preparation and submission experience & capability.
- Effective in commercial negotiation.
