My client is a growing, knowledge-based agency and distribution business importing and supplying a unique range of specialty chemical products. They partner with some of the world’s leading producers of chemical specialties. With their head office based in Sydney, Australia, they utilise an extensive warehousing and logistics network to supply and service customers within Australia, the South Pacific and South East Asia. The company has more than doubled in size over the past 5 years and in line with that continuing success, they are seeking another motivated and results driven Account Manager.

As well as pursuing new business opportunities for water treatment chemicals such as antiscalants, antifoulants, coagulants & corrosion inhibitors within the Municipal & Industrial sectors, you will be responsible for the sales of finished specialty lubricants to an existing major national account..

This is truly a multifaceted and technical sales role where your ability to establish & manage relationships, understand the scientific and chemical nature of your products and their effects along with influencing, stimulating interest and securing business is essential.

To be considered, it is essential that you are an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident with a current Australian Driver’s license. It is also expected that your English speech can be easily understood and your written English communication skills are high level. We anticipate you to be a university graduate in Chemical Engineering or hold a Science Degree majoring in Chemistry. If you hold certificate/diploma qualifications accompanied with relevant experience you may be considered.

Personally, you must have high level relationship building skills, be a very flexible team player, commercially and numerically astute, and a have genuine interest in this industry and role. The role may involve some domestic and international travel.
